The GEVA Project is honored to be interviewed by VnEconomy and share insights on the topic: “Voluntary Sustainability – The Key for Vietnamese Businesses to Enter Premium Export Markets.” This is not just an article, but also a recognition of our continuous efforts to accompany Vietnamese businesses on their journey toward green and sustainable exports.

In the article, GEVA emphasized that Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS) are increasingly becoming a prerequisite for businesses seeking to access high-end export markets such as the EU, the US, Canada, and Japan. What was once considered “voluntary” has now become the “mandatory rule of the game” — reflecting the global shift toward green, transparent, and responsible consumption.

The article also highlights the importance of early capacity building — from business models and management systems to brand storytelling — enabling businesses to meet strict but highly promising international requirements. GEVA is committed to supporting businesses through roadmap development, training, and capacity-building activities, helping them not only comply with VSS but also seize opportunities for long-term, sustainable growth.

Let’s join GEVA in advancing the green export journey for Vietnamese agricultural businesses.

About GEVA:
The program “Incubating and Accelerating Green Exports through Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS)” is funded by the Swiss Government and co-managed by the International Trade Centre (ITC) and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), Ministry of Industry and Trade. It is operated by KisStartup JSC during the period from April 2025 to April 2026.

The project aims to enhance the green export capacity of Vietnamese businesses (through the application of VSS) via a series of training, consulting, incubation–acceleration, and international market connection activities, helping businesses meet the increasingly stringent requirements of global markets.
