On October 29, the GEVA project, together with expert MSc. Bui Khanh Tung, Deputy Director of the Center for Organic Agriculture Development Support (Vietnam Organic Agriculture Association), conducted a field survey at the cultivation area of Essence Forest – one of the enterprises participating in GEVA’s Green Export Incubation and Acceleration Program.

Location: Xom Ma, Thung Nai Commune, Phu Tho Province (formerly part of Bac Phong Commune, Cao Phong District, Hoa Binh Province).

Essence Forest’s plantation is developed in a purely natural direction, without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The ecosystem here is diverse and harmoniously integrated with nature – including apricot, orange, banana, pomelo, and macadamia gardens, combined with ponds, poultry, and goat farming. Altogether, they form a circular agriculture model where humans and nature coexist and thrive sustainably.

The field survey focused on assessing green farming practices, the potential for applying sustainable standards (VSS), and developing a responsible agricultural brand strategy for Essence Forest in the upcoming phase.

GEVA is committed to accompanying Essence Forest and other enterprises in the program to spread the spirit of being “green from the roots” – turning natural farming models into a foundation for Vietnam’s sustainable exports.

About GEVA:
The program “Green Export Incubation and Acceleration through Voluntary Sustainability Standards (VSS)” is a project funded by the Swiss Government, co-managed by the International Trade Centre (ITC) and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and operated by KisStartup JSC during the period from April 2025 to April 2026.

The project aims to enhance the green export capacity of Vietnamese enterprises (through the application of VSS) via a series of activities including training, consulting, incubation–acceleration, and international market connection, in order to meet the increasingly stringent requirements of the global market.
