Continuing the “Sustainable Green Export” training series previously held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the GEVA program extended its journey to accompany businesses in the Mekong Delta through a training course in Bến Tre City from September 3 to 5, 2025. This was an opportunity for local enterprises and cooperatives to directly access essential knowledge and tools to meet the increasingly strict requirements of international markets for green and sustainable products.
At the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyễn Đặng Tuấn Minh – CEO of KisStartup, and Mr. Nguyễn Khắc Hân – Director of the CSAT Bến Tre Project Management Unit, signed a Memorandum of Understanding, marking a collaboration to bring practical training and support solutions closer to the local business community. This represents an important first step in accompanying businesses on their journey toward green export transformation.
Over three days, participants were equipped with knowledge and tools to build business models aligned with ESG and VSS, practice applying the Green Export Readiness Assessment toolkit, and develop concrete action plans. They also learned how to connect and expand cooperation through the 4P partnership model. Participating businesses came from various provinces across the Mekong Delta, working in agriculture, agricultural processing, seafood, spices, local fruits, food, handicrafts, and gastronomy—sectors rich in regional characteristics and export potential.
A key highlight of the program was fostering a mindset shift toward sustainability and learning to tell the story of green products and services. Green transition is an inevitable trend. Beyond being guided on VSS and voluntary sustainability standards, participants also received coaching on adapting their business models to align with seven emerging trends impacting enterprises. They explored the use of artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT and Perplexity as intelligent assistants to help communicate green messages to customers.
The study visit to the Bến Tre Green Pomelo Cooperative offered participants a valuable opportunity to observe real-life practices, receive expert advice, and connect with local businesses. Firsthand sharing from the cooperative on processes and mindsets became practical lessons for enterprises striving toward green export.
Participating businesses highly appreciated the training content for its practicality and alignment with their needs, helping them gain a clearer roadmap for voluntary and sustainable green transition. This lays a crucial foundation for enterprises to increase their export market access while contributing to local green development. In the coming period, KisStartup will continue to monitor, support, and accompany local enterprises through incubation and promotion activities under the next phase of the GEVA project, thereby realizing the goal of sustainable development for the Mekong Delta business community.

At the local level, the project is implemented in collaboration with the Climate-Smart Agriculture Value Chain Development Project in Bến Tre Province (CSAT Bến Tre Project).
The project aims to enhance green export capacity (through VSS adoption) for Vietnamese enterprises via a series of training, consulting, incubation–acceleration, and international market linkage activities, enabling them to meet the increasingly stringent requirements of global markets.
